Barfoot & Thompson Whangaparaoa - Commercial Fitout, 2023

Sitting on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula, the brief called for a Hamptons-inspired interior that felt connected to the coastal environment outside, while remaining professional and functional as a working real estate office.

The design scope covered the reception, meeting room and boardroom - the client-facing spaces where first impressions matter most. A blue ribbed reception desk anchors the entry, paired with natural timber joinery, gold hardware and pale coastal tones throughout. Black steel and glass partitions bring a crisp architectural edge that stops the scheme from feeling too soft, while built-in shelving and carefully styled accessories give the space personality without clutter.

The result is an office that feels calm, considered and genuinely of its place — a welcome departure from the generic commercial fitout.
