Ways to work with me

I work as a design consultant - which simply means we shape the work around what you actually need, rather than asking you to fit a fixed package. Maybe you want one conversation to unstick a decision. Or maybe a room, or one aspect of the whole home - designed properly. Or maybe you would like me with you from first idea to finished space.

Below are three ways to start. None of them commits you to the next; pick what fits where you are, and we’ll go from there.

  • A 90-minute on-site visit where I walk through your space with you, listen to what you’re trying to solve, and leave you with a clear set of next steps. You’ll get a follow-up summary email within a week - colour suggestions, layout ideas, things to look out for, what to do first.

    Indicative starting price: NZD $250 Cambridge/Hamilton (Auckland and beyond add travel)

  • A defined piece of work with a clear scope. Pick one - a kitchen, a living area, a bedroom; or one aspect across your whole home - colour and finishes, lighting plan, furniture and styling, joinery design. I take you from brief to a complete design package: concept, drawings, renders where useful, and a schedule you can hand to a builder, painter, or supplier.

    Best for: one room you want to get exactly right, or one layer of the whole home you’d like designed properly.

    Indicative starting price: from NZD $2,200 (varies with scope)

    Outcome: a finished design package, ready to build, install, or buy from.

  • Everything from first conversation through to handover. Concept design, developed design, documentation, FF&E selection, supplier coordination, and site visits as needed. We work in stages so you can see how it’s going at each point and adjust.

    Best for: a renovation, a new build interior, a full residential refit, or a small commercial fit-out.

    Pricing: project-based or percentage of build cost - let’s talk

    Outcome: a home (or workspace) that’s been considered end-to-end, with one person looking after the design from idea to finished space.

  • I also work hourly for one-off questions, follow-ups after a consultation, or ongoing advice while you’re partway through a project.

    Hourly: NZD $165 / hour (minimum 1 hour)
